Interesting area
With barrage gates at the sea end, this is more a lake than a river. Flanked by parkland, marinas, and accommodation, it is a pretty area affording pleasant walks.
The Patawalonga river is such a nice waterway between housing and the coast. There’s a Beautiful marina in a lovely spot! It’s so nice to see all the boats whether cycling, walking or driving past.
All the way around the Patawalonga is a path for both bikes and walking. One can have a lovely stroll without cars interfering with ones enjoyment. A walk around the circuit is about 4 km which is a ...

Nice Drive
We drove around Patawaranga and the beach on our way back from Glenelg. It was calm and nice without a bad smell.
