This is quite hard to find which explains why there was no one else there when we visited. If you are having difficulty search for うのこの滝 on Google maps. It's about 25 minutes from Takachiho Gorge. It...
Steep paved trail with stairs. About 10 minutes going down. Strenuous, but my 4 and 7 year olds did the round trip hike twice within a 3 hr span. Great for a short hike or an afternoon picnic on the...
You can either walk down stairs to the waterfall and actually go under it or if you can't/don't want to walk down the stairs to get to it you can go down a different road and see it from the side of t...
There is an observatory from a distance to the east side of the waterfall, but if you walk from the parking lot on the west side, you can reach the waterfall. You need to walk on the mountain road from the parking lot. Since the way down, it takes about 5 minutes, but the climbing road on the way back is tight. The waterfall itself is small, but when I got close, it was surprisingly momentum and magnificent. Looking at past posting photos, it seems that the amount of water changes considerably depending on the weather.
