A gallery of works by famous calligraphers
Original Text
I stopped by when I was visiting Kita-Kamakura. This is a museum that collects the works of calligrapher Yukido Onoda. It's not a big gallery, but I had a good time watching the works and having tea in a nice building in a calm atmosphere.
It is a museum where calligrapher Yukido Onoda exhibits works written by Yamatohi and Misuzu Kaneko. Go down at Kita-Kamakura Station on the JR Yokosuka Line and walk along the Kamakura Kaido toward Kamakura, and you will find it on your right. It's a small museum, but you won't overlook it because there is an information board. There is a homepage.
It is a gallery-like facility of literati Onoda Yukido located along the Kamakura Highway between "Tokeiji" and "Jochiji". The admission fee includes tea fee, so I went there because it was almost free. I recommend it to those who are interested in calligraphy and paintings and works by Yukido Onoda, but my personal impression is that it is a facility that doesn't make much sense for those who are sightseeing in Kamakura in a limited time. I entered immediately after entering the museum, so it was rattling.
4 minutes walk from Kita-Kamakura Station. A museum where works by calligrapher Yukido Onoda are exhibited. In addition, pottery works and seal engravings are exhibited, centering on works depicting the world of poet Misuzu Kaneko and poet Taneda Yamatohi. There is also a coffee shop space in the hall where you can see the Yagura from the Kamakura period in front of you. It was a site with a depth that I couldn't imagine from the entrance.
