Well, it is a monument. In the evening when it's dark is lightenb up the harbour which is nice to see.

We enjoyed Marken

We drove ourselves from Amsterdam to Marken. It was cloudy with occasional drizzle, so there were very few people there. The fish and chips we bought in the maria were delicious.

Our guide mentioned this memorial as our boat started to move, so we could have a glimpse of it, its quite pretty and the view from the bench right there seems to be awesome.
