We sailed through the iron gates at the hydro electric power station, which was impressive. Then into the gorge, with it's steep sides also the famous statue of Decebalus.
What a brilliant experience! Expert ship steering through majestic cliffs, with so much history, including a huge rock carving and a beautiful monastery. A 'must'.

Most scenic part of the cruise.
We sailed through the iron gates at the hydro electric power station, which was impressive. Then into the gorge, with it's steep sides also the famous statue of Decebalus.

We went through the iron gate as part of a river cruise. It was beautiful and interesting to hear the history.
