Well-hidden gem
On our way to a house party not far away, I spotted this on the map and navigated us there -not particularly well-signposted until you get there. My husband is a castles buff and he enjoyed it so much...
Beautiful setting and well restored artifact but..
As others have said, it's only for the fitter of visitors. No tar pathways, only rainwater eroded tracks and veeeery steep log steps but if you can climb your way up to the well restored centuries-ol...
Holiday in the area
If you have any mobility problems forget it,it is a beautiful area and the riverside walks are excellent,but access to the chateau is very steep,and you need to be reasonably fit.
