Visit to ALMA
Unfortunately it was not possible to visit the whole site as it is closed to public right now. We were sent off the gate near the main street already.
Interesting trip
It was very interesting to learn how such an observatory is operated. We also had the chance to see a dish in maintenance.
Or would be if you could get to see it
You have to book months and months in advance for tickets to this extraordinary chance to look deep into outer space
A must in San Pedro area and when visiting Atacama
Very interesting tour, lovely staff that speaks English and (of course) Spanish. Even the astronomers working there are absolutely fabulously friendly, and are answering all questions you are asking....
