Hengshan Mountain Park

This park is located at the Wanping intersection of Hengshan Road. The area is not very large, with trees shaded and grassy. The environment is very elegant and quiet. You can usually take a walk and relax, or sit on a bench and bask in the sun comfortably.

Hengshan Park is located at No. 2 Guangyuan Road, with an area of 10,855 square meters. In August 1925, the French Concession Public Council built a park here. There is an old river in the north of the original site, with low-lying terrain, and 5,000 tons of mud from the Xujiahui River is used in construction to fill the soil, then plant trees, lay a large lawn and build a pavilion. In May 1926, the project was basically completed and opened to foreigners. It was named Bedang Park because it was located on the original Bedang Road (now Hengshan Road). In October 1943, it was renamed Hengshan Park. After 1963, the park featured various bonsai. Since 1965, due to the construction project needs, the opening to the outside world was stopped. On April 10, 1987, the opening was resumed and the park was adjusted appropriately. In November 1991, the statue of Shen Diaoru was built in the park. The greening in the park basically maintains the original layout, three hundred years of aromatherapy, two in the west of the gate, one in the east side of the park in the bush. There are more than 1,000 square meters of large lawn in the center of the park, tall trees and large lawns, shrubs and flowers forming a variety of landscapes.

Hengshan Park is located on Hengshan Road in Xuhui District. This park is small in size. Compared with the opposite Xujiahui Park, the area is less than a quarter. But the environment of this park is still very good.

Just across from Xujiahui Park, a small block park, the park built during the Republic of China, there are many old trees, and there is a statue of Shen dwarf.
