We stayed at the Jungle Lodge inside the Tikal National Park. Howler monkeys howl at night and and sunrise. We climbed temples at dawn to watch the sunset. They have a fascinating array of bird life. Hire a guide to show you the magnificent Mayan Ruins. Tikal had been on my bucket list for years and it did not disappoint. To get there, you fly to Flores. Call the Jungle Lodge ahead of time and they will send minibus to take you to the ruins. It's about an hour's drive.
