Tongren Ancient City

Tongren Ancient City is surrounded by water on three sides, surrounded by mountains and rivers. It is the only native historical district in Tongren. Humanistic landscape lovers can go and see it. I highly recommend staying at Jinjiang Hotel in the city, just a ten-minute walk away. You can rent ethnic costumes to take pictures, or taste local delicious snacks.

Free attractions, most shops in Tongren Ancient City are closed during the day, and it is lively at night. The scenery along the river is good. There is also a pedestrian street nearby. It is recommended to go to the pedestrian street after dinner and walk to Zhongnanmen.

History records that during the Yuan Dynasty, fishermen got three Confucian, Shi, and Dao Tongren at the confluence of the big and small rivers outside the ancient city, so the ancient city got its name. New archaeology shows that around 3,000 years ago, the two sides of the Jinjiang River in Tongren have been densely populated and culturally prosperous. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, they had been traveling by boat, and there were many merchants and clubs. They enjoyed the reputation of "Hudong Shangzhan".
