E23***34lovely village surrounded by amazing scenery. nice restaurants and shops to eat and and browse. Only complaint would be the sightseeing buses that hurtle around the village at top speed and expect pedestrians to jump out of the way! Better to enjoy the village on foot.
MaxSTruly amazing place. The Buddhist paradise. It is believe that Shambala will start to come from here. Anyway, this is the place of incredible cultural and religious heritage located in the national park, pure wet wild Asian forest. You will feel it. There are many creatures and plants protected by the law and this place is also a preservation area. Need a half of the day to cover tourist zone. It requires a lot of climbing up and down.

This amazingly scenic area is located in Guizhou and is everything right about tourism in the area. they try to keep the place as clean as possible and try to limit the amount of tourists in the area.
We were able to hike along side the waterfall and be booking a tour they take your right underneath it. make sure to bring some extra clothes because it is quite a walk!
Truly amazing experience. As it is located in the South of China it has a very tropical feel to it and reminds me of painted scenes from Tarzan.
I would definitely recommend this trip to a friend before it gets discovered by the masses of tourists.
All in all, great experience if you love waterfalls and hikes along the river bed.☺️
Literally translating as Forest of Ten Thousand Peaks, Wanfenglin is one of China’s largest areas of karst landscape, famed for its tower-like fenglin formations. On either side of the valley, the karst hills rise from the horizon like humps on a sleeping dragon’s back.
🌲This area has what many popular areas lost long ago - a palpable sense of being well off the international tourist trail. And the best way is to cycling around instead of taking the suttle bus.
The area is super clean with a sense of calm. make sure to take active wear because there are a lot of outdoor activities to do, and the best way to enjoy the area is by bike. All in all I would definitely recommend this place as it has not yet been discovered by the crowds ☺️
Situated in the middle of a lake in the south-west of Guizhou Province sits one of the most random sights … a castle. Like a full-on fairytale-inspired castle.
You’ll have to rent a car to get here from town and the roads aren’t the best but in terms of unique sights that you really wouldn’t be sxpecting to get then you can’t get much more random than this.
For people wanting to snap some shots, highly recommend bringing a drone. The scale of the castle as well as the roads and paths around it don’t make it the easiest to grab without one.
There is also a hotel across the path if you would like to stay within sight of a European castle kind of thing but I would recommend just coming for sunset to grab some snaps and leave
Malinghe is a small city located in and around the Guizhou border with Yunnan.
While not the easiest spot in Guizhou to get to, it’s Yangshuo/Guilin-like mountainous landscape but without the mountains of people makes it a relaxing spot to spend the weekend.
With the Malinghe waterfall canyon you also get one of the coolest canyons in China.
Walk down to the bottom and you’ll find yourself along a refurbished path with waterfalls cascading down on both sides of the canyon.
Just be sure to check the weather beforehand. We went during the dry season and while you could tell it would be impressive during the rainy season, it wasn’t quite as impressive at that moment.
Kaili is home to one of the biggest ethnic Miao villages in China and, thankfully, it’s very accessible to visit.
A bus ride from the city centre, the ethnic village is located between the hills so there’s plenty of opportunities to get an aerial perspective.
Historic on the outside but still nice on the inside, many of the buildings have been converted for the tourist flock - whether it be bougie hotels, nice cafes or decent places to stop and get some snacks the visit should be fairly easy.
As with all of Guizhou, getting off the beaten track and exploring how deep into the alleyways you can get is always the best way forward.
Located south-east of Guiyang, Guizhou province - Zhaoxing is a small village nestled in the hills surrounded by rice terraces.
Characteristic of the Miao ethnic minority, small wooden buildings and narrow alleyways dominate this small village, with the occasional spire marking areas where locals get together to play games like mahjong or cards in the evening.
While the town has been refurbished for tourism, the town is a great place to walk around and explore while the surrounding hills offer an aerial vantage point from which to enjoy the unique architecture.
Head to viewpoint in front of the city gate for the best view of the area.
Enjoy a fun filled day in Nanjiang Canyon .A short trip outside of Guiyang ,you will find this gem .A ticket for the river rafting was ¥188 and we spent two hours in the water .In the beginning ,the water was calm and cool.We were paddling to gain some momentum .There was also a little waterfall were people got off to swim .There after our sticks were taken as the route didn’t need paddling sticks ,the route was faster and a little scary .Those who love adrenaline rushes will love the second part of the rafting .My two friends lost their possessions, one lost a nose ring, the other lost her spectacles,be sure to have your possessions safely stored in the lockers ,that is ¥10 .Be sure to have a waterproof pouch if you want to take pictures .
