#firsttimermistakes I spent a month island hopping in Greece in June. I have visited Greece many times before and been to a couple of islands each time. This time it was planned in October 2025, however it's very difficult to find ferry days and times at this time of year. It was a brilliant month flying into Milos, moving to Kimolos the next day, 3 nights there and on to Serifos. From there to Antiparos before moving to Iraklia and Amorgos and flying back from Paros. The mistake was not investigating ferry days/boats from every island. This resulted in travelling from Serifos to Paros (in order to get to Antiparos) on a day when there were no direct ferries. I had to use Seajets costing over £100 per person whereas the day before I could have got a Blue Star for £7 (it may be slightly slower but they are very stable boats so less chance of seasickness). Also be aware that if you pick a smaller boat, the winds may prevent you from travelling. I have since discovered that you can find historical timetables online so that you see the days they are likely to travel to various islands.
