🌴 Compared to Sanya and Haikou, in Hainan, I still love Wenchang, this small city, more. The pace of life here is very slow, filled with the atmosphere of everyday life, with clean and clear seas and skies, and every evening you can encounter different afterglows of the sunset. 🏠 Accommodation: It is recommended to stay in Wenchang city center, which is more convenient for dining. Hotels like Guiyuan Tianqiao Residence, Home Inn, Time Mark, Vienna, and some others that have been renovated in recent years are quite clean. 🚘 Transportation: Within the city area, Didi, motorcycle taxis, and shared transportation are very convenient options. It is recommended to drive to the coastal scenic spots, most of which are also accessible by direct bus. ✨✨ Scenic Spot Recommendations: 📍 Wenchang Confucian Temple The birthplace of education in Wenchang, a millennium-old Confucian cultural holy land, 'Hainan's First Temple'. The ancient architectural complex here is well-preserved, with a strong cultural atmosphere. 📍 Qinglan Gaolong Bay Gaolong Bay has a long coastline, and you can stroll along the coast to the Platinum Coast. It wins with a variety of food, reasonable prices, and in the afternoon, you can sit on the beach to enjoy herbal jelly and barbecue, drink coconut water, and buy some seafood at Qinglan Pier to have processed at a seaside shop for a proper meal. 📍 Dongjiao Coconut Grove It is a large coconut grove composed of beaches, where you can taste red coconuts. At the westernmost Coconut Bay, you can see a beautiful sunset, and after watching the sunset, you can have a meal of coconut milk chicken here. 📍 Longlou Stone Park There are large expanses of reefs, which are super photogenic. Standing on the rocks and feeling the sea is very stunning and shocking. During rocket launches, this is an excellent observation point. Be careful when climbing the rocks. 📍 Longlou Tonggu Ridge There are sightseeing cars up and down the mountain, but the whole journey is not long, almost all on major roads, and it is not tiring to walk up. From the top of the mountain, you can overlook Moon Bay. 📍 Longlou Qishui Bay The sea at Qishui Bay is much cleaner, and there are fewer people. It is one of the rocket launch observation points. 📍 Tonggu Buddha's Light The sea here is also relatively clean, and there is a seaside temple, which is very photogenic. 📍 Changsa Song's Ancestral Residence It better presents the style of Wenchang residences, with a strong cultural heritage. Family trips can consider visiting. 📍 Changsa Moon Bay Moon Bay is much less crowded than other beaches, and the beach is also very clean. Driving along Pulong Road, you can complete the entire coastline. 📍 Puqian Old Street Compared to Wen Nan Old Street, Puqian Old Street is a bit more walkable. After eating Zaocu vinegar, you can take a walk to Puqian Port Pier. In the afternoon, there are many seafood stalls there. 📍 Huwei Ridge The filming location of Peach Blossom Dock, where you can check in and take photos. The road is relatively poor, and the beach is not maintained. Currently, it is only accessible by self-driving. 📍 Mulan Bay Not far from Huwei Ridge is the Mulan Lighthouse and Mulan Bay. Mulan Bay is far from Puqian Town, and a new coastal road has been built. Driving along the road, the scenery is absolutely beautiful. 📍 Puqian Seaside Windmills Navigate to 'Fukang Aquatic Science and Technology Co., Ltd.', where there is a row of white windmills by the sea. If you encounter the sunset, the photos are super photogenic.

After driving around Hainan, I realized: 1️⃣ The cleanest and clearest sea is not in Sanya, but in Lingshui's Qingshui Bay, where there are many props for photo taking, all for free. 📸 2️⃣ The most stunning seascape is not in Lingshui, but in Wenchang City's Tongguling, where a mountain rises abruptly from the plain, offering a broad view and an endless horizon, especially the continuous coastline is too shocking, it is the one in the cover photo, I personally highly recommend everyone to visit here. 3️⃣ The most romantic lighthouse is by the seaside in Wanning, where it's not as crowded as Sanya, and the beach is more comfortable and quiet. 🌠 4️⃣ As for the Dongjiao coconut grove, it is quite large, the cheapest coconut there is 4 yuan each, but there isn't too much particularly beautiful scenery, maybe we just didn't visit at the right time, or maybe it looks better at dusk. 🏝

Tongguling Scenic Area Transportation: Both Tour Bus 1 and Tour Bus 2 can get you there, with Tongguling being the final stop. Visiting Tongguling: Purchase tickets online one hour in advance for 45 RMB per person, children's tickets (over 1.2 meters) for 25 RMB per person. The sightseeing car tickets are bought on-site, we only bought a one-way ticket up the mountain for 25 RMB per person, a round trip is 45 RMB per person. After the sightseeing car reaches its final stop, you need to walk a few minutes on the trail. The scenery at the mountain top is beautiful, but it's also crowded, and you need to queue for photos. After our visit, we walked down the mountain, taking breaks and photos at the check-in spots, and there were free telescopes available. Regarding food: There are not many dining options inside the Tongguling Scenic Area, it's best to bring your own dry food and water. There is a small supermarket at the mountain top with limited choices. To the right of the restrooms inside the scenic area, there is food for sale, beef brisket rice for 35 RMB (which I didn't buy). At the entrance of the scenic area, they sell instant noodles (8 RMB per bowl, they'll help you prepare it), green coconuts for 8 RMB each, red coconuts for 10 RMB, which is a fair price. There are more food options in the Stone Park, but the prices are somewhat higher. First stop of the Hainan ten-day tour is Wenchang, where we first visit the popular Mulan Bay Windmill Coast. Mulan Bay is a coastline stretching over ten kilometers, starting from the northernmost point of Hainan Island, Mulan Head. Here, you can find Asia's first lighthouse, a windmill coast stretching over ten kilometers, with more than 30 giant windmills lined up along the coastline. The towering windmills perfectly blend with the soft coastline, forming a magnificent windmill matrix that stretches for several kilometers. The blue sky, the sea, and the white giant windmills create a beautiful beach scene, where modern industry and natural scenery perfectly blend, making one feel as if they are in a sci-fi world. For lunch, we head to Dongjiao Coconut Grove for coconut milk chicken. Along the Jianhua Mountain coastline that stretches for ten miles, lush coconut groves form an endless forest belt, a natural green barrier along the coastline. Known as 'half of Hainan's coconuts are from Wenchang. Dongjiao Coconut Grove has the best scenery.' Coconut milk chicken, as the name suggests, is chicken stewed in coconut milk. The chicken soup is milky white, with oil floating on top, extremely pure! The chicken meat, without any additives, retains its original color, even a bit white. The chicken is tender and full of milk flavor, not too salty or bland, perfectly combining the essence of coconut milk and chicken, bringing out the original taste of the chicken! The oil in the soup is not salad oil, but a combination of coconut oil and chicken oil, which tastes particularly fragrant and fresh. According to customer needs, vegetables and vermicelli can be blanched in the soup. The price is not expensive, four people eat, each person spends more than forty yuan. After the meal, we head to Tongguling. Tongguling is a famous mountain in Hainan, known as the 'first peak of the east of Qiong'. It seems to only have a main peak of 338 meters above sea level, but it is actually accompanied by 18 peaks of different sizes. The peaks compete for beauty, with layers of greenery. The picturesque Tongguling is an international ecological tourism area. Take a sightseeing car to the end station and then climb up the stone steps to reach the open-view Moon-Viewing Platform, where you can take in the 'one river, two bays, thousand miles of green forest' landscape formed by Moon Bay, Qishui Bay, Baoling River, Baoling Port, and the mangrove wetland. On the granite sea-viewing promenade of the ancient city wall, you can let your mind fly. You can overlook the vast South China Sea and also closely observe the undulating mountains of Tongguling. The dense green vegetation under the sea-viewing promenade is China's only tropical evergreen rain dwarf forest ecosystem. In the evening, we head to Stone Park to watch the rocket launch site from a distance and wait for the sunset. Stone Park is located in Longlou Town, Wenchang City, Hainan Province, with Tongguling as the center. It is the easternmost corner of Hainan. The park stretches along the sea for 2 kilometers. It is a stone that was uplifted from the earth's surface millions of years ago during the orogeny, and has been sculpted and weathered by the tide over the long years to form a marine erosion landform. There are variously shaped boulders here, some like dinosaurs, some like sea turtles, and some like ancient apes. There are also scattered granite and uniformly shaped pebbles. Standing on the boulder overlooking the sea in the afterglow of the setting sun, one can't help but feel the heroic spirit of Cao Cao's short song line watching the sea.
