Xichang Jianchuan Film Museum Complex is a cultural museum project jointly created by Liangshan Prefecture, Xichang City, Shudao Group and Jianchuan Museum. The total planned land area of the project is about 1,260 acres, the total construction area is about 260,000 square meters, and the total investment is about 7 billion. The goal is to build a film museum group, a national cultural industry demonstration base, and a national 5A tourist attraction. Xichang Jianchuan Film Museum Complex is planned and designed by a team of planning and design experts led by Fan Jianchuan, director of the Jianchuan Museum. The design team includes Arata Isozaki, winner of the World Architecture Prize Pritzker Prize, Cheng Taining, Ma Guoxin and Cui Kai, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Far Eastern Architecture Prize winners. The winner is Liu Jiakun, the Chinese chief designer of the Bird's Nest Stadium Li Xinggang and many other well-known architects at home and abroad. After the project is completed, more than 500,000 film-related collections from around the world will be on display, including more than 50,000 film posters, more than 10,000 film scripts, and 120 tons of film copies. As a leading project of the high-speed rail new city, it is located in the center of the high-speed rail new city area, close to Xichang West High-speed Rail Station, and is located on the east and west sides of the Anning River. It is bordered by Hupan Road to the north, Sunshui Road to the east, Changyu Road to the south, and Changyu Road to the west. Zhanqian Road. The overall structure of the project is divided into one core, two axes, and five zones. The first core is a landscape covered bridge located on the Anning River. Seventeen museums are scattered in five major districts, including the World Film History Museum, the Chinese Film History Museum, the Feature Film Museum, the Documentary Museum, the Film Photography Museum, the Film Poster Museum, the Film Sound Museum, the Film Art Museum, the Film Derivatives Museum, and the Cartoon Film Museum. There are fourteen film and television themed museums including the Museum, Children's Film Museum, Chinese TV Drama Museum, Centennial People's Army Film and Television Museum, Opera Film and Musical Film Museum, and three public welfare museums: Liangshan Prefecture Museum, Jianchang Museum, and Sanjiang River Basin Museum. Xichang Jianchuan Film Museum Cluster is a landmark and demonstrative project to implement the provincial party committee and government’s goal of accelerating the high-quality development of the Anning River Basin and promote Xichang from the “Qionghai Era” to the “Anning River Era”.
