This is the place where Yamaguchi Castle was located. It is a gate made when Takachika Mori, the lord of the Mori domain, moved the domain office from Hagi to Yamaguchi in preparation for the attack of the castle town Hagi from the sea. Since it was made in a hurry, it was separated because it utilized wood such as waste wood and relocation, but it was active as the Yamaguchi clan gate.
