Disappointing, all fenced off for safety
Any kind of castle, ruin or not, is interesting to me and they all seem to have stories! Unfortunately the Carlow castle ruin is now fenced off for safety after the latest storm.

We visited Carlow today as recommended by the tourist board in Kilkenny. We found it easily as the road to Carlow is excellent and very well sign posted. Parking was easy so we thought we were off to ...

Not great
It's nice to see but wouldn't travel to see this it really is just a wall. And a lot of empty beer cans broken glass and just general rubbish throw around it...
