The current location of the museum is the former Charity Hospital, which houses a large collection of Andalusian art treasures, mainly covering the works of artists from the 14th to 20th centuries. Among the more notable are paintings by Valdés Real, Zubba, Murillo, Palominos, Antonio de Castillo and Juan de Peñalosa, and Sculptures by Juan de Mesa and Matteo Inuria. The gallery's annex is the Julio Romero de Dores Museum, named after the painter of the same name. Many works by Cordoba are also collected here.
