So I’ve been wandering around the historic streets of Bugis—absolutely love the old shophouses and heritage vibes around here—and honestly, after walking in the Singapore heat, I needed a proper feed. Stumbled upon this Mexican place called Huevos.
First off, the booking system is a bit of a pain. You can only book online for the next day, which is completely useless when you're hungry right now. We just rocked up around 2 PM and had to wait about 15 minutes in the heat. Not the end of the world, but not ideal either.
Inside has a decent vibe with some quirky graffiti, but we came for the food. It’s actually pretty good value, which is great when you're on a student budget. The loaded nachos are massive—they didn't skimp on the cheese or guac, which I appreciate. The beef tacos were also proper solid and actually packed with meat, not just filled with shredded lettuce to make them look big.
One annoying thing though—I wanted the corn on the cob but somehow ended up ordering a corn bowl by mistake. The menu is a bit confusing, so definitely double-check your order with the staff before you pay, otherwise you’ll end up disappointed like me.
Overall, it's a decent, cheap-ish option if you're exploring the area, just be prepared to wait a bit.
