🌿 I Walked the East Rim at Fitzroy Falls — 6.7km of Waterfalls & Lookouts

Sab Found Along The Way
Sab Found Along The Way
Just had the perfect nature break in a stunning green valley surrounded by lush woods and rolling mountains 🌲🌧️. The highlight? An easy scenic trail walk leading right up to an epic waterfall viewing platform — ideal if you want nature vibes without a hardcore hike!

Top Spot to Visit:
Waterfall Viewing Platform
Take the main forest trail (marked and well-maintained) from the base parking area. The walk is straightforward, not steep at all, and full of dense greenery — seriously, bring your camera for those misty, rainforest-style shots. Even though it was cloudy and rainy during my visit, the fresh smell of wet earth and trees made the experience even better. Don’t rush: the best reward is that first view of the waterfall thundering below with mountains in the backdrop.

Trail tip: Wear waterproof shoes if it’s been raining — the path gets muddy but stays manageable. Bring a lightweight rain jacket and a dry bag for your phone or camera.

Getting There & Around:
There’s easy parking at the trailhead, or you can use a ride-share drop-off point if you’re car-less. Grab a park map at the entrance just in case. The trail loops back to the lot, so you won’t get lost.

Food Tip:
Pack your own picnic or snacks — there aren’t cafes right at the site (nature rules here!), but that riverside bench near the viewing platform is the dream spot for a break.

General Tips:
No ticket or visa needed, just show up and enjoy! Weather flips fast, so check the forecast and pack layers. The spot is best mid-morning or after a bit of rain when the falls are super charged. Leave no trace — bring your trash back to keep it wild.
