Meimei Ni:“Take advantage of the good sunshine and come to Mayflower Park. I have been in Nan'an for so long and I feel like I haven't seen many beautiful places in Nan'an. The sun is shining brightly and the scenery is pleasant.”
WillSum:“It is the most famous building in Southampton. You can see this very tall tower when you come out of the Central Station. It is a complex building that combines the art gallery and the newly moved Maritime Museum that displays the Titanic. The square on one side often hosts activities from the nearby Southampton University campus. It is very lively. The art gallery is currently displaying Leonardo da Vinci's paintings.”
Opening hours: 10:00-17:00 (admission ends at 16:00)
唐毓小宝:“The naval base in Portsmouth is very large, including the naval base, the Mary Rose exhibition hall of the Naval Museum, and the Victory, etc. It takes a day to see them all carefully. When I went there, the Elizabeth, the only aircraft carrier in the UK, was not in port. There was only a Type 45 destroyer. There were also several support ships. The most shocking thing was the Mary Rose exhibition hall. The Naval Museum actually shows the former glory of the British Navy. It also belongs to the patriotic education of the UK. However, it also lists the British army's participation in the Afghan War to show its merits, which I really cannot agree with. This may be the universal value of the West, the idea of the Anglo-Saxon people from the bottom of their hearts.”
老良漫游教堂建筑:“The earliest part of the cathedral was built in 642 and is located to the north of the current cathedral. I think it is the most beautiful Bible, the Winchester Bible, which is the only surviving treasure of Winchester Cathedral. The Winchester Bible consists of four bound volumes, their leaves are about 23 inches high and 15 inches wide (58 by 39 cm). The text of the 468 folios was written by a single scribe over a period of thirty years, and at least six different talented painters painted the calfskin parchment with expensive pigments, including lapis lazuli and gold. Their ambitious work was never completed.”
Guest User:“Pleasant room. Only stayed for 8 hours in total, so did not use any of the hotel amenities. Decor is looking a little worn but far from outdated and dilapidated. Bedroom was a fair size and tidy. Tea/coffee supplies, bottled water, hairdryer, iron, soap/shampoo/shower gel. The only thing thing letting the stay down was the bed. The frame felt a little unstable and the mattress felt very ‘bouncy’ and cheap. I still managed to sleep ok but I have slept in much more comfortable beds at basic hotels. Overall, for the amount I paid, it was well worth the stay.”
Guest User:“We are really like this hotel and the staff so friendly. The room is clean and everything good. We happy stayed and will be back once again.”
Anonymous User:“I like the availability of electric kettle as my husband always drink hot water. The room is clean and mattress is not too soft and comfortable sleeping bed is very nice🙏”
Sammy-natural:“If you are looking for some quiet time away, this is a peacefully located hotel.
The ambience is calming, and the reception team is welcoming, not to mention the many look-out spots to watch the boats in the harbour.
I came to this hotel 10 years ago on a girls' trip, and as i was looking for somewhere to go again, i came across this hotel and thought i would mark my 10-year anniversary. And i must say nothing has changed. Having said that, i do think it's time for a renovation as the decor is becoming dated. The exterior of the building, along with the windows, needs cleaning and fresh paint. The cleaning team needs to pay closer attention to details. Also, when a room have been cleaned and locked up for some time, they need to bare in mind that it will acquire dust built up, and upon issuing it to a guest it need to be freshen up.
Overall, it's a lovely, quiet place away from the rush and hustle of london, and i would recommend it, and i will visit again in the future!”
pritchardavd:“The hotel could benefit from a refurbishment, area of the hotel and room we were staying looked dated. Corridor definitely had a weird smell, like damp or previously from smokers, maybe the room also. Breakfast was ok, nothing special, would have loved to have seen some extra options, like pancakes and waffles. One friend ended up waiting about 8 minutes for a fried egg.
Bar was ok, first time ended up waiting nearly 10 minutes for someone to actually start servicing customers, no staff working behind there at the time.
Overall ok, location ok, walkable into town.”
jS-:“I never thought I'd get a room for special care needs. There is no bathtub with an open area. Never select if it's unnecessary. No sleepers, no toothbrush, no”
Guest User:“Very happy with my stay in Southampton. The hotel is excellent as follows:
1. Friendly and helpful staff. Thanks for the complimentary drinks.
2. Breakfast is not bad at all. It would be nice to have a few options of yogurt.
3. The room is clean.
4. Had lunch in the cafe. Nice and peaceful.”
SimonD:“A lovely old hotel in the heart of the forest. Lyndhurst is a pretty village and well appointed. The breakfast at the hotel is good. The rooms smell fresh and nicely appointed. Parts of the hotel look a little tired, however the overall experience was very positive. The lady in the front desk really helped when something went wrong and something needed replacing.”
Guest User:“I had read the mixed reviews so just approached this stay with an open mind. Lots of positives. Every staff member we interacted with was really helpful, from reception to health suite to bar.
The location is beautiful and the leisure facilities are of a high standard. The gym is great. Towels and lockers are provided as well as water. My daughter and I loved it.”

TheForkUser:“A really enjoyable family Sunday lunch. Our servers were really lovely, attentive but not too much so. The food is delicious.....you will not come out of here hungry! A big shout out for good value children meals.”
TheForkUser:“My friend and I have eaten here 3 times in the last couple of months, drawn back by the 'buy one get one free main course' offer. Each time the staff have been excellent, friendly, helpful and we have thoroughly enjoyed our meal.”
TheForkUser:“Six of us spent New Year’s Eve having a truly delicious meal in a really relaxed atmosphere. Matt our server was great and made sure we had everything we needed. A big shout out to the barman - the pineapple spritz was a delight! When we had finished our meal we moved into the bar area and saw in the New Year with some live music (excellent guitarist!). Make this your choice for next New Year - we will certainly be back. Thanks to all at The Mill!”
TheForkUser:“birthday lunch with mum and the syn was shining so wr got to dine in the courtyard which was beautiful!! the food was delicious we had 3 course from a set menu and shared everything between us bar the sorbet. the wild mushroom starter and the watermelon starter was so tasty I could have eaten it all day long!!”
TheForkUser:“Food was very good I had the roast port which was delicious , vegetables were beautifully tender , Yorkshire pudding was very tasty The only small thing I would say that could be improved is the roast potatoes could be a little crispier other than that a very delicious and well presented meal”
TheForkUser:“It was our very first visit to The Star, won’t be our lady I may add.We both had pork belly and have to say it was without doubt the best we’ve ever had, no horrible greasy fat just all meat! The Eaton Mess and Creme Brûlée was to die for.All in all a very pleasurable experience.”
TheForkUser:“Our waitress was lovely, very welcoming and efficient! We all ordered different mains and desserts and everyone enjoyed their food. Will definitely be returning.”
TheForkUser:“Always great food, fantastic service and very reasonable prices. Highly recommended Set in a beautiful building with a great bar area as well as well maintained gardens that are lovely to sit out in the summer months”
TheForkUser:“I haven't been to the Fishers Pond so this was a trip back in time. The setting is still as I remember, obviously the staff and menu wasn't going to be the same but I wasn't disappointed, the menu provides a variety of dishes and the roast which we chose was probably one of the best i have had. As for the staff, friendly and efficient, so big 10/10 to all!”
TheForkUser:“I had booked a table for 4 and the welcome and service we received were helpful, warm and friendly. The food quality was good and my Muslim guest was able to find items that her religion permitted. Helpings were generous and well presented. The restaurant was clean and attractive with local art on display. The Farm Shop was well stocked with quality products.”
