Another great hike in Yukon: Sam McGee Trail. It is about 9 km round trip with roughly 618 m of elevation gain. The nearest town is Carcross. At the top, there are incredible views of lakes, mountains, and old silver mine remains. September is the best time to go. We hiked it around this time last year, when everything was colourful and especially beautiful, and it is also possible to see the aurora. An overnight stay is better, especially since there are hardly any people around.
