Trattoria Catania Ruffiana

We had an excellent dinner, with everthing at superlative - food, wine, service. The restaurant was fully ocupied by 8,30 and it was mainly by locals, but however, the staff speaks English and they are all very nice, funny and helpful. Food is amazingand they also recommended us an excellent red wine - all within a very decent price. If you try to find a good spot in Catania, you should try this one!

Hidden in a small side street off via Umberto I it is a wonderful family restaurant. The staff is very friendly and efficient, the food is wonderful, flavorful and super fresh (I recommend the seafood antipasti and pasta) and the wine list is short but well-chosen with nice local wines at very reasonable prices. Among the desserts the chocolate cake is amazing. The music was just a bit too loud. But all in all, a wonderful relaxing gastronomical experience !

After a long day we were looking for a relaxed dinner as a family. The restaurant could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious, we shared various different plates and loved all of them. The restaurant is family owned and it shows, full of pride with the father and his daughter, son and son in law being front of house and mother preparing delicious meals in the kitchen. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing food, such great flavours, and an amazing price for the quality of the food. The staff were very friendly, and helped us choose our wine, again very good price. My favourite meal in Catania.
