Xinjiang Dapanji, also known as Shawan Dapanji and Spicy Fried Chicken, is a specialty food of Shawan City, Tacheng District, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It originated from a street food restaurant on the roadside in Xinjiang in the 1980s. It is mainly made by stir-frying and stewing chicken and potato cubes, and is also eaten with Xinjiang belt noodles. [1] The colorful, smooth and spicy chicken and the soft, sweet and moist potatoes are spicy and fragrant, coarse and delicate, and are a great dish on the table.
