Yi Lin Xuan Chinese Restaurant

The beautiful environment of CITIC Pacific Zhujiajiao Hotel attracted us. We arrived at the hotel at around 1pm. There were not many people in the Chinese restaurant. The duck blood and tofu soup was recommended by the waiter and it was really good. The bacon and vegetable rice was also delicious. The big egg dumpling soup tasted a bit ordinary. The traditional small egg dumplings were more delicious. Moreover, the egg dumplings were too expensive at 96 yuan per serving, and there was a 15% service charge.

A few months ago, my boss mentioned this restaurant. I don't know who introduced it to me, but he wanted to try it. I called to make a reservation, and was surprised to hear that the restaurant was reserved for lunch, and even the guests staying in the hotel had problems eating. I have never heard of such a situation in a five-star hotel. This time, I came to stay overnight for business. Yilinxuan opened at 5:30 in the evening, and I ran there as soon as possible. Fortunately, I went early. The restaurant is really not big. There are only five round tables in the hall, and each table is not very spacious for ten people. The scenery outside the floor-to-ceiling windows next to it is pleasant. We who didn't make a reservation were arranged to a large private room on the side, which had several scattered tables and reserved one. The waiter gave us a pad to choose the dishes by ourselves. There were not many varieties, and many dishes were not available. Even stir-fried eel shreds and crab meat tofu were not available. It seems that there are really few guests staying in the hotel on weekdays, and the raw materials are not purchased, so the supply capacity is a bit behind. Fortunately, the dishes served were pretty good. The restaurant recommended the fried edamame with fresh water chestnuts. The water chestnuts were very fresh, but the edamame was a bit hard; the fried river shrimps with soybean sauce were well done, slightly salty, just right for rice; the grass head cakes in the corners were unexpectedly delicious, and a bit sweet, with a taste a bit like sugar rice cakes. As for the large egg dumplings with farm cabbage, the texture was a bit rough, and the meat was not cut finely enough, which was closer to the original farm dish. The invoice was on paper, and the waiters were not well trained and were not familiar with some of the requirements for issuing invoices. In addition, there is a 15% service charge, so the price is acceptable and not too expensive, but it is not a very good restaurant, with pleasant scenery and just a reputation.

We chose Zhujiajiao Jinjiang Hotel as our accommodation. It was raining outside and we didn't want to go to town, so we chose this place. We ordered 3 dishes for two people. Overall, the taste was good, but a little expensive. The steamed eel tube was very fresh, and a little bacon added a lot of fresh and salty taste, which can be rated 5 points. The grass head clam meat was also good, with some bacon in it, and the grass head was also fresh and tender. The environment and service were good. The three dishes cost more than 360 yuan in total, and we didn't order any drinks, which was too expensive.

This is my first time visiting this hotel. I feel pretty good. The service staff is enthusiastic and the environment is beautiful.

It's a good idea to go out with friends and kids on weekends.
