Haizhou Temple is Mongolian and translated as "hillside" in Chinese. It was named because it was built on the mountain. Its original name was Maitreya Bodhisattva Achievement Institute. It was built in the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. group. At its peak, Haizhou Temple had more than 300 lamas, covering an area of more than 20 acres, and built more than 600 temples such as Faxiang Monastery, Shilun Monastery, Guandi Temple, Front Hall, Back Hall, and Mahavira Hall. On major festivals and pujas, believers gather and it is very lively. Local people of all ethnic groups come here to burn incense and pay homage to the Buddha every time they encounter major events such as marriage, mourning, joy, and birthday.
