Fed by the Xinquan River, Yingzhou West Lake is located northwest of Fuyang City. Since ancient times, this was the confluence of the Yinghe River, Qinghe River, Xiaoru River and Bailonggou Stream. After the Northern Wei Dynasty, the present-day city of Fuyang was called Yingzhou. Therefore, during the Tang, Ming and Qing Dynasties, this lake was especially well-known. The main scenic spots in the area include: Beilin Park, with its monumental corridor of stone steles as thick as a forest, giant Bagua Diagram and collections of authentic works by famous contemporary painters.
