Maybe you have heard a lot of travellers say "Mom shoots the loofah", in fact it is Malapascua in Cebu, Philippines, because the homophonic sound of Malapaska is similar to that of mom, so many travelers like to take it. Said mother to take the loofah, better memory. Compared with the well-developed islands such as Boracay in the Philippines, Malapascua has a lot of commercialization, not only natural, but also cost-effective travel. For backpackers, Malapascua is more like a sea paradise.
Find a travel agent on Malapascua Island and report a day trip to the island for snorkeling. After an hour and a half, I went to the legendary sea paradise, Carter Gama Island, first saw the sea, fell in love with the blue .
No matter which angle you look at, you feel pure in your heart, no pollution at all, even want to turn into a cloud, drifting in the blue sky with the wind, or turning into a fish, swimming in the sea.
Pay special attention to sun protection, local UV is super strong.
malapascua island. can get there via bus /van from north bus terminal in Cebu.
Malapascua Island! Is one of the must visit places in Cebu. I have veen travelling there uncountable times while living in Cebu since the 90ties. The island and the locals kept their charme all over the decades, just accomodations have improved from simple cottages to fine resorts. My personal preference is and has always been the Malapascua Beach and Dive Resort. Great Restaurant too and run by Janet and Nigels family since ever. They and lately their kids take personal care of their guests. Delightful to see thempreparing the stone oven pizza nightly (Italy feeling!) which is of course one of the best pizza in Cebu province as well. Locayed at the main white beachfront one has all for a perfect relaxed vacation. They got a pool pool to if one likes. And if you're not a resort sitger, you can walk down the beachfront at night and check out the entertainment of other places as well. Bands, disco and karaoke nights, you'll find all to not get bored in Malapascua island! Of course diving is available as well. I also enjoy walking around and explore the island - take your time and have a chat with me the locals at little stores in the nowhere when you buy water or snacks. And don't think you seen it all, i always discover little new places every time i visit. Just put on your comfy walking shoes and enjoy. If you had enough, hire a motorcycle back ride for a dollar :-)
One of the most preserved islands of cebu province. Such a natural wonder.
Fei Chang's trip, only for potential! Last year, after finishing the AOW exam in Malaysia, I began to plan a diving trip for Cebu Philippines, and finally decided to devote all the seven-day trip to Mother's Island with my diving companion. After going to the island, every day, besides diving, I ate and drank a variety of food and drink. A total of 10 divers watched long-tailed sharks, white fin sharks, devils, sea snakes, sea eels, lions, skin shrimps, hippocampus, sea rabbits, spiny dolphins, resident crabs, etc. Clownfish and other super marine creatures, of course, the gorgeous and colorful coral can not be recorded with the lens, but you can only come to the bottom of the sea to feel slowly! In short, although the journey to Mother's Island is tortuous, it is worthwhile for children's shoes who like the underwater world! Life has no dream, the same salted fish has a difference! Actually, it's good to be a salted fish in the potential sea!
Nice island but a little bit far from the main city. Its very quiet here with minimal mobile signal. Peaceful place..
