The cylindrical monument is all built in crimson marble, and the tower is 60 meters tall, with two lines of "glory belongs to Columbus" and "Tribute to Columbus". On August 3, 1492, Columbus was dispatched by the Spanish king, carrying the book of the Indian monarch and the Chinese emperor, and led three hundred and ten tons of sailboats out of the Spanish port of Barros, sailing directly west.
