Moorish Castle Review

Mauros Castle is the only Moorish-style castle in Europe built in the 17th century by the Moorites. Built in the 7th century, it looks a bit like a mini-Great Wall and is across the bank from the Pena Palace.

The Moorish castle was built during the occupation of Portugal by the North African Moorish in the 8th century. The castle consists of hundreds of meters of walls and several bunkers. After the Portuguese eviction of the Moorish, the castle was renovated and has a mix of Arabic and Portuguese styles.

游览完辛特拉宫，乘胜追击，继续向摩尔人城堡挺进。城堡坐落在辛特拉山最高处，有多个碉堡，蜿蜒曲折。登上城堡城墙时，虽为生活在山城的重庆人，尤有些喘不过气来。但站在山顶，醉在辛特拉360度美景中也是自在，那辛特拉宫的牛角，也被清晰收入眼底。
