Zakabona Review

We had a lovely dinner at Zakabona, and we were really pleased with our choice to come here. The decor is cool, with a relaxed, comfortable vibe. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the owner (I think it was the owner) came over to chat to us after we'd finished our meal. We had a really nice conversation with him - and even a couple of complimentary drinks! I am vegetarian, and found Copenhagen to be fairly meaty in terms of many of the recommended restaurants, but Zakabona has a few veggie options on the menu, which is great - including the delicious veggie burger, that I had. A bit different to burgers back home, but absolutely bursting with flavour, completely delicious, and a great big portion - you won't leave hungry. I can also highly recommend the hot chocolate - which has to be the best I've ever tasted (and I'm a bit of a chocoholic!). I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Copenhagen, but especially if you are looking for vegetarian food without having to go to a vegetarian restaurant.
