Tang Xian Mausoleum is the tomb of Li Yuan, Emperor Gaozu of Tang Dynasty. The mausoleum’s base faces south in the north, and the soil is a mausoleum. It is in the shape of a bucket, and the plane is rectangular. Outside the south gate, there is an 8-meter-high Chinese watch, with a squatting beast on the top and a dragon on the bottom. The octagonal column is full of patterns, which looks solemn. The stone carvings of Xianling have a strong artistic style of the early Tang Dynasty and are precious material materials for the study of the history of the Tang Dynasty. In the ninth year of Tang Zhenguan (AD 635), Li Yuan died and was buried in the Xianling Mausoleum. Tang Taizong Li Shimin built the tomb according to the specifications of the original tomb of Emperor Guangwu in the Eastern Han Dynasty. At the beginning of the construction of the Xianling Mausoleum, there was no mausoleum, and it was divided into two inner and outer cities, with a grand and spectacular scale. The stone carvings of Xianling are thick and simple, strong and unrestrained, the shape is resolute and calm, and the air is majestic. Except for one of the stone rhinoceros and the stone tiger, which have been moved into the stone carving room of the Shaanxi Provincial Museum, the rest are preserved in front of the tomb.
