Photos of Shitou (Boulder) Park

Shitou Park is located at the foot of Wenchang's Tongguling. This is an original ecological patch of sea area. The large and small boulders which are scattered along the seashore are very distinctive. Strolling through Shitou Park, the crystal-clear ocean waters lap gently against the giant boulders. The gentle sandy beach, the beautiful seascape and the boulders of different sizes and shapes like a great stone forest all combine to create a magnificently beautiful sight. It is said that the various boulders found here are all caused by the shifting tectonic plates that built mountains 10,000 years ago. Worn by eons of gentle tides, this exquisitely strange scenery came to be formed. There are boulders that look like scallops and honeycombs. All of them are very interesting.
