The Yingkou Municipal Museum was formally established in 1981, and its predecessor was the Office of the Cultural Relics Management Committee of Yingkou City. It is now located in the middle section of Bohai Street, Yingkou City, with a construction area of 3,200 square meters, of which the exhibition area is more than 1,600 square meters. The collection of cultural relics includes human and mammal fossils from the Jinniushan site, which is famous at home and abroad, as well as bronzes, pottery, coins, calligraphy and painting, sparks, shadow puppets and other eleven categories, more than 6,000 pieces.
