My comment: they should provide accurate details of the address where guest locate accurately without unnecessary time consuming and inconveniently, especially since you are chartering a taxi.

The room was fine and it had all the amenities like microwave and refrigerator. The only problem was that the room be booked said it had a landmark view, but upon entering it was just facing the other apartments. We raised this up with the owner and he said that because it was a cheap room we shouldn't expect too much. I told him that while that may be the case, it was misleading. Be careful with booking this place if views is what your are after.

On New Year's Eve, the entire Gubei Water Town was blocked into a large group. At one o'clock in the morning, the hotel staff still kept their mobile phones open, answered the phone in seconds, drove to the entrance of the scenic spot to pick us up, and after sending it to the community, there were staff seamlessly connected. They entered the room at one o'clock in the middle of the night. The air conditioning heating in the living room and bedroom has been turned on for a while. Very warm. The room is in good condition, but the staff's warm heart service in the cold winter night is more touching.

- The location is excellent. It is just round the corner from Gubei Water Town. A two minute walk to the entrance hall. - The service was good. The staff added us on WeChat and were very quick to respond to messages and queries. One stand out moment for us was when our food was 2 hours late from a local restaurant. I was struggling to communicate with the restaurant because my Chinese is not very good. Staff reached out on our behalf and sorted the issue for us. - Cleanliness was OK. The sheets on the bed felt lovely and clean, but the apartment was not spotless. The shower had some black mould, and the floor in the kitchen felt sticky. - The apartment itself had some pros. My son absolutely loved all the toys and the slides. It made his experience very enjoyable. - Plenty of towels, toiletries provided. However - The shower leaked constantly. Every time we used the shower the bathroom would become flooded - which was a slipping hazard for my son. - The curtains are very thin. Every morning we were woken up to a bright light streaming through the windows. This meant that my son’s sleep was not great. We did contact the staff about this. They used sellotape to stick up some bedsheets on the windows, but this fell down within minutes! We appreciate the efforts though. - We would have felt better if there was a stair gate. As this is an apartment aimed at families, a stair gate would be good for safety. - Limited cutlery is provided. We were given some disposable chopsticks. However very few cooking utensils / no children’s cutlery. Bring your own if you want to cook. :) - There was only once choice of breakfast - which was not to our personal taste. Would be good if 2 or three options were provided. There is a lovely bakery around the corner and we enjoyed buying our breakfast from there for the remainder of the trip.

The accommodation is like a homestay unit with 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms and kitchen. Properly owner is very friendly with quick responsive to all our requests. The unit is clean and all electrical appliances functioning well. The unit we stay is about 400 meter walking distance to Gubei tourist Registration center. We enjoy our stay. The second floor has a double bedroom with a terrace. You can enjoy the mountain view. It is especially comfortable to sit for a while in the morning when the sun is shining. The boss is also very friendly and told me how to get there and where to locate. The accommodation is very close to the entrance of Gubei Water Town Scenic Area. The price is affordable. I recommend everyone to go there during off-peak hours.

We went to the Great Wall the next day and had breakfast downstairs in the morning. Buy a ticket across the road and take the shuttle bus to the Great Wall.

The house is very nice, with complete facilities. You can sing karaoke and play billiards on the first floor. There is a heated swimming pool. There are game consoles on the second floor. Everyone is easy to discuss and cooperate tacitly to use the resources in the yard. In addition, because there is no room number and no order, even if we book a room, we are not sure which room to live in. After arriving at that yard, it is also the last thing everyone discusses. This homestay has several courtyards. The one we stayed in was not the same as the one in the pictures. There was almost no lawn in this courtyard. I was actually uncomfortable with this gap, but because the room type was the same and we were a bunch of people, I didn't mention it. But there were some small episodes later, such as when I wanted to go out, I locked the door and found that I didn't have the key. The aunt sent the key and said that some rooms had lost the key, but there was a surveillance camera to ensure it, haha. The automatic mahjong table was sometimes good and sometimes bad, and finally it was manual throughout. The toilet lid couldn't stand up and leaned on me from time to time. For people with mysophobia, I think that feeling can be understood. How do I feel in the end? Although there are many small episodes, I feel quite lucky because the people I met have digested these episodes, and the shortcomings of some facilities were almost offset by a good night's sleep.
