    Mylavaram Dam and Museum

    I recently visited this place with friends.It is located near gandikota.The dam view is amazing and one can see a museum nearby.The stone work in these place is just amazing and worth visiting.

    Best time to visit in rainy season.. so that the sufficient amount of water will be available in the dam..

    Nothing much by itself, visit in addition to Gandikota

    The Mylavaram dam is a mid-sized irrigational dam and as such the views of the dam itself are very average. If you are a traveller coming from far, it just does not make any sense to visit this place ...

    It is a medium size irrigation dam built across the river Penna. In rainy season there is availability of boating in the river.

    Gives the view for Grand canyon

    One can see the Mylavaram Dam from this view and without the dam - saving the water, the thin stream of water in river Penna would be none. This is an earthen dam.
