Spain - Casa Vicens, the House of Vicens
The second Gaudí building I like is Casa Vicens.
This is the first house designed by Gaudí.
It was built between 1883 and 1885.
Before 2014, it was a private residence.
After 2017, it was acquired and turned into a museum.
Only then did we have the chance to go in for photos
and listen to the guided tour.
Influenced by neo-Moorish architecture,
there is a large arrangement of geometric patterns.
Decorations with tiles, metal products, and bricks.
Notice that all the iron railings have different floral designs.
Photo 3 shows a small room with a blue to purple gradient, which is the smoking room.
Hey, even the smoking room is so stylish.
It's so beautiful that smokers might want to 'chur' a few more.
Photo 4 is the ceiling of the first room right at the entrance.
It's a place you don't want to leave,
because every corner is beautiful.
Photos 5-7
The design of the terrace and the rooftop.
There are always surprises, like a fairy tale castle🏰.
A little tip🔔 At the underground souvenir shop,
where they sell books, there's a video playing
about the restoration of the entire Casa Vicens.
After watching it and then looking at photos 8-11,
you'll understand why I love this house so much.
A good architect and designer
is responsible for construction and aesthetics,
but it takes good builders
to turn the ideas in their minds into reality.
Gaudí in his earliest days
must have really loved plants and flowers.
You can see his careful thoughts in many delicate details.
Just look at the bricks and wrought iron he used, and you'll know.
A little secret from the trip🤫
is that I foolishly didn't make a reservation
and ended up not being able to enter the Sagrada Familia.
So, I went to this Casa Vicens instead.
Is it a blessing in disguise?
Gaudi creatively added Moroccan, Egyptian and Indian architectural features, bringing exotic elements such as arches, towers, domes, mosaic tiled exterior walls.
If you know Gaudi's work, you can see that this is Gaudi's early work, and the overall style is different from his later creations. Gaudi had not fully pursued his phrase "curves belong to God, straight lines belong to humanity", so Gaudi's early creative ideas can be seen here. The building was a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005. The whole building has Mudhar and Oriental flavors, belonging to Gaudi's "Eastern Period" works. Gaudi has been slow work and work, from Manuel • Wensheng (Manuel Vincens) entrusted Gaudi to the construction project from the beginning of the whole construction project, he spent a total of 10 years.
As the Gaudi series of Barcelona's architectural design, one of them can see Gaudi's design style at a glance, Vinson's house is an early work of Gaudi's architectural design, which is not so characteristic of the overall design style concept of the building.
Vincent's House is the fourth World Heritage Site we have visited in Barcelona. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from Gracia station on the Blue Line of the tourist bus. Vincent's House is a family residence in Barcelona, designed by Anthony Goldie and built by industrialist Manuel Vincent. It was Gaodi's first important work. In 2005, it was listed by UNESCO under World Heritage "Anthony & Goldie's Works". The building is located in Carrer de les Carolines 24, in the Gracia area. Four floors. Now it is a private house, no nameplate, but the popularity is still there, from the endless stream of tourists and photographers and the unique style of the house, it is not difficult to find.
This building is more square and has a sense of design.
The facade of the building is very strong.
Vincent's House is Gaudi's early work. It's a house designed by Gaudi for ceramic tile dealer Vincent. The house with red exterior walls is full of Islamic style. Originally, it was the same day as Guier Park. As a result, the park had been visiting for too long and could only be visited one day with Mira's house. It's been nearly 30 minutes since Mila walked by. It's still raining in the sky. After half a day, I couldn't find Vincent's house. I looked up and found that Vincent's house was being renovated. Walking around the street, there was no point to view. One side of Vincent is facing the street, and the street is very narrow, there is no wide angle, even if it is not decorated, it is not easy to shoot.
