The Duke of Devonshire's luxurious residence has lived in 12 generations. The study house in the manor houses about 30,000 books, and there are many manuscripts in languages and sciences in addition to printed books, which are called libraries.

Visiting York Minster on a sunny day brings an unparalleled sense of tranquility and awe-inspiring beauty. The cathedral's stunning Gothic architecture, with its intricate stained glass windows and soaring ceilings, creates a serene atmosphere that invites quiet contemplation and reflection. The sunlight filtering through the colorful windows enhances the ethereal ambiance, casting vibrant hues across the ancient stone walls. Exploring the intricate carvings and historic artifacts within the cathedral provides a deep connection to centuries of spiritual significance and architectural mastery. The Minster's expansive grounds, dotted with lush greenery and vibrant gardens, offer a peaceful retreat for families and visitors to unwind and soak in the historical charm of this iconic landmark.

Family walk round the lake. Fabulous value (even with lockdown) at £5 to park. Beautiful scenery (even on a damp morning), wheelchair friendly. Most things closed but café open for takeaways.

There are rumors that Wimbledon Street is good to see, but when I actually went there, it was nice because there were many shops to see! I heard that the ghost shop is famous, but there was a long line in front of me, so I couldn't go in.

George VI once said proudly that "the history of York is the history of England." Located on the banks of the River Us in north-east England, York is the second largest tourist city in England, with outstanding architecture and 2,000-year history blended with thriving commercial streets, with more than 30 museums and galleries in the city centre. Here you can stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the leisure and tranquility of the British town.

The Clifford Tower was built by William the Conqueror to suppress the rebellious North, and was once a Royal Mint, a medieval fortress and a Civil War garrison. One of the worst anti-Semitic massacres of the Middle Ages occurred on the site of the tower in 1190, when the Jewish community in York was trapped by a mob and many Jews chose to commit suicide rather than murder. Today, a new roof terrace offers unparalleled views of York's historic skyline, with its medieval architecture and famous cathedrals. Inside, new sidewalks and staircases open parts of the tower that have been banned for centuries, immersive soundscapes and stories bring to life the tower's turbulent history.

Walking into the museum hall, as if entering the train kingdom, from the oldest train at the door, it is only a small steam head, smaller than the current car, then a variety of steam heads, trains with development, the head horsepower is getting bigger and bigger, the head is getting bigger and bigger, All the exhibits here are real-sized, tourists shuttle in the huge train, from steam locomotive, to internal combustion locomotive, finally electric locomotive, the latest Eurostar, China's high-speed rail only model exhibition, the train is too huge, it is really not easy to get a real thing. In addition to the head of the car, it also shows the train carriages of various periods, there are special carriages filled with silver dining tables for the rich, there are also ordinary carriages, freight carriages, and platforms are also arranged to be similar to the age of the carriages, making people seem to have passed through the past. Not only that, some cars can enter, some cars can be viewed, even the maintenance workshop is open to tourists to visit, this is definitely a paradise for train fans.

Small art gallery with a significant collection of Vorticist works as well as the famous 'Scotland Forever!' painting. Definitely worth visiting, especially as the entry is free of charge.
