The city of Beaune has many historical monuments. The belfry, also called the clock tower located on Place Monge, is one of them. If you are in the city, I advise you to go and see this building whose construction dates back to the 13th and 14th century! Look at it well and you will see its multiple black crosses on its facade or its slate roof. The Belfry has 5 floors and a vaulted cellar but is unfortunately closed to the public.
