冠头岭森林公园没有什么让人眼前一亮的地方，山下的流下村就是一个农村，只是山脚的普渡寺还值得一转，山上配套设施不足，吃饭入厕都不方便，入厕收费一元，不多但我多年都没碰上了，最让人无语的公交，在导航的指引下十点半来到普渡寺专线侯车点，等了近两小时都没来车，而站牌上明明写着60-80分钟一趟，忍无可忍打了公交热线，得到的回答是上午没车，没车为什么不标注，这是为公众服务的站牌，我们的城市管理者在上边多写两个字能累死吗，弄个车来了App等待发车没有倒计时时间显示，让人等的抓狂，无法选择，路上看不到出租车，对于出门的老年人极不方便，因为她多数不会使用网约车，一个旅游城市，公交做成这样让人无语，出门的好情自然荡然无存。北海市是一块宝地，气候宜人，景点众多，但如此管理水平真是可惜了。

冠头岭国家森林公园在北海市最西端，由主峰望楼岭、风门岭、天马岭等组成，主峰望楼岭是北海市区最高点，登上山顶可远眺周边海岸风光，这里也是欣赏日出日落、万顷海涛和晚上点点渔火的迷人景色的好地方。
