A train to spring at the Garden Expo Park and the Chinese Garden Museum
I took 27 subway stops and 5 bus stops to visit the Garden Expo Park and the Chinese Garden Museum. There were a lot of people because the peach blossoms were blooming. Here's a brief review for future visitors:
1. Transportation
The subway station for the Garden Expo Park is the fastest way to get there by bus directly at the entrance. You can take either bus 903 or a special line, and the stop at Gate 6 passes by the Garden Museum, but we went to climb the mountain first because there are fewer places to rest on the mountain than in the museum, and more energy is needed.
2. Garden Expo Park
Peach Blossom Valley is located between Wenchang Pavilion and Yongding Tower, so almost everyone gets off at Gate 6 and climbs up the mountain. The road up the mountain is easy to walk, with a gentle slope and a wide cement path that can accommodate vehicles.
The peach trees in the valley are dense and gather along the slope like clouds. The peach blossoms here are mainly white and light pink, delicate and softly fragrant, already showing signs of withering. Don't be fixated on a specific photo spot; in fact, without post-processing, no matter how you take the picture, it won't have the beauty of a sky full of blossoms.
There are many places on the mountain where you can overlook a railway, with freight trains passing by frequently, and the red locomotives are very eye-catching. If you stand by the peach trees and look, it's like a train heading to spring.
The park's facilities are average, but since there is no admission fee, you can't ask for too much.
3. Garden Museum
This museum is actually hard to do because gardens themselves are architecture, and displaying architecture within a building can't just be about models. Rebuilding would be strange since some gardens are already reconstructions, which would be a reconstruction of a reconstruction.
Their approach is to rebuild a Suzhou-style private garden like the Pishi Mountain House indoors, and a northern imperial garden with carved beams and painted rafters outdoors. In addition, the theme exhibition hall displays some technical details of garden construction, such as architectural painting, building components, etc.
The indoor part I think is average, with the feeling of fresh paint, lacking an immersive experience except for convenient cosplay photography. The outdoor part is quite good, blending with the mountains of the Garden Expo Park, and there are plenty of places to rest, making it very suitable for spring outings and enjoyment.
A large string of yellow flowers is really beautiful, high pedicures from bottom to top full of bright flowers, look at the intoxicating and infatuated, yellow, pink flowers like singing trumpet, flower dots like flower picking bees, really beautiful.
Although the color of silver leaf chrysanthemum is single, but the leafy leaf distribution, like the shape of snowflakes, is very beautiful, silver leaf chrysanthemum is currently also very good ornamental plants, after June silver leaf chrysanthemum clusters of yellow flowers open, more beautiful, so silver leaf chrysanthemum is also a choice object for landscaping.
The pink brocade flowers next to the road are opening. Each brocade has a lot of flowers, countless, and the brightness is particularly charming. This flower is cultivated in the garden or courtyard. It is really beautiful and ornamental. It is said that this flower has a strong adaptability. Even in the cold northeastern region, it can be planted.
The outdoor exhibition area of the Chinese Garden Museum is unusually beautiful. The Yuxia Mountain House is based on the mountain, and it is built by reference to the Chenghui Pavilion and other attractions in the middle of the Summer Palace Painting. There are also elements of gardens such as summer resorts, plank roads, pavilions, and galleries. Half a mu of the park was built in reference to the half a mu garden of the private garden of Huangmi Hutong in the city. The exhibition area has the shadow of the stone of the Summer Palace, and the figure of the Beihai Archway. The small bridge and flowing water and the lake are beautiful.
A garden museum, a good place!
China Garden Museum is the first large-scale exhibition hall in China with the theme of garden development history, garden craftsmanship and garden skills, and also copied Suzhou Changyuan, Pianshi Mountain House, Yuyin Mountain House with the famous garden essence as the model, and the outdoor scenery is also modeled on the Yuanmingyuan, The landscape built by the Summer Palace, Beihai, Chengde Mountain Resort and other attractions is generally a good place to integrate knowledge and ornamentalism.
