The CEC Palace is one of the most fascinating buildings in Bucharest* It is the headquarters of the CEC Bank that began construction in 1897 and was completed in 1900 by King Carol I and Queen Elizabeth. The CEC Palace is said to be one of the strongest buildings in Bucharest* in the 1977 earthquake. Only the glass dome was affected* and there was little damage to the rest of the building* and there is no doubt that the palace is a pearl that complements the architectural heritage on Victory Avenue.
