Hua Lin Corner

The imperial city root of the ancient city of Chiang Mai walks a section of Hualin Corner (Hua Lin Corner) is a remnant of the old city wall built on the moat of the ancient city. It was built about 700 years ago. At present, the outline of the city wall can be seen vaguely. The corner of the ancient city is a bit similar to the corner of the Forbidden City. ​

Hua Lin means the starting point of receiving water by passing through a gutter. In the past, this corner of the city wall was received water from Huai Kaew to import in the city Therefore, the corner of this city wall is called Chaeng Hua Lin. This fort was renovated during the reign of King Kawila around 1834.
