Beautiful flowers in early May
Nothing to see as we went in the day and the paddy fields are dry (no water yet) But the flowers / flowering trees are stunning during our visit on 1st of May
Nationally recognized traditional scenic spot, Obasute's terraced rice fields ('tanada') supposedly reflect the moon in the individual rice paddies. Easy access from Obasute Station on the JR Shinono...
I went to see the sunrise in the rice terraces. I enjoyed the scenery from around Meisekien. It was Saturday, but there was no one in the rice terraces, probably because it was early in the morning in the cloudy sky. The sky was reflected in the rice terraces during the rice planting season and it was very beautiful. I enjoyed the scenery of the terraces around 1 time before and after sunrise time. I didn't have much time, so I could only visit the Meisekien area, but I enjoyed it enough.
The view is good and fun no matter what season you go to, when you plant rice, when you harvest, and when you go to any season. While reading a book on the bench between the rice fields, I feel happy when the cool breeze blows.
Tanada in Nagano, close to Obasu Station. I'm glad that you can walk from the station. The scale is one of the largest in Japan and is also composed in the song of 々.

It's just fun without doing anything.
