Ski Dubai is an indoor ski resort located in the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It's one of the largest indoor ski resorts in the world and offers a surreal experience of skiing and snowboarding in the middle of the desert. With various slopes of different difficulty levels, a snow park, and even a penguin encounter experience, it's a unique attraction that draws visitors from around the world, especially those looking to escape the heat of the desert and enjoy winter sports year-round.
It’s a novelty trip to a ski resort in a 40-degree hot desert outside and a ski resort in a winter wonderland of minus 4 degrees indoors! There is only one slide from top to bottom in the entire ski resort, and a qualified skier can ski in 30 seconds. Note that the ski resort is located in the Emirates Mall, not in the large Dubai Mall of Burg Kalifa. The Emirates Mall is a 15-minute taxi ride from the hotel, but can also be reached by monorail. The ski resort is modern and the snow quality is surprisingly good, not as bad as I experienced in the Canadian Rockies. Also, in Dubai, their weekend is Friday and Saturday, and Sunday is a weekday! I passed on Sunday so there were only 20 to 30 skiers at the time and there was no queue for the cable car. The cable car is L-shaped and has a middle ramp that leads to the lower, less steep parts and then all the way to the top. The two-hour package, including equipment rental, is reasonably priced at around $80. You can experience skiing as there are no other items. Strangely, the package does not include gloves, so if you have plans to come, it is recommended that you bring them from home in advance or buy a pair. The temperature in the ski area is not very cold, so no gloves are fine, just put your hands in your coat when you take the cable car.
Very good, and the ticket inspection staff is very patient to give the choice of activities and explanations, as well as the guidance arrangement of the first-time ski class.
It is unusual to experience the snow in the desert. Inside looks like when we go to the skiing in Alps. You can rent all the equipment before entering and it is not too expensive.
its amazing i have been there and i didn’t expect it to be that realistic and its very affordable as-well. me and my friends had a great time.
