The town is pretty small one with not much of population. Most of the population is the students who come study in one of the best university here. Good place with calm walk ways and boat rides.
This fantastic town is called the Venice of Portugal. It has many canals with gondola like boats, and you can go in them (8 euros) to go around the town. The houses are beautiful and a delight to see.

Aveiro, the calm Portugal town
