I happened to pass by, so I headed to the base. It was unavoidable that the base was not open to the public, so I tried to drive along the outer circumference, but I was overwhelmed by the size. Although it is familiar with the Ground Self-Defense Force garrison, it was the first Air Self-Defense Force base to have a runway.

Get off at Yamoto Station from Sendai and it takes about 10 minutes to reach the end of the runway that extends northwest. You can see the blue impulse flying in the sky without any problems. If you want to see them waiting together, there is about 30 minutes more and it is on the entrance side of the base. I went to see the torch arrival event, but it seems that the flight schedule of Blue Impulse will go to the Internet in advance, so I would like to go see it accordingly.
