Isahaya Shrine is located on the bank of Hommyo River, near JR Isahaya station. It was originally a temple, but after the separation of Buddhism and Shinto it became a Shinto shrine. Beside the main b...

    Hot Springs God Faith

    Original Text

It's a morning walk. From Isahaya Station, it was a little southward along the Honmei River and the guardian of Kyushu, but there are huge Kusunoki and lava gardens scattered in the precincts of a fairly large area. It is also one of the four shrines that originated from the belief in the hot spring god that spread around here. There were no worshipers on weekday mornings, but it has a large parking lot so that many worshipers can be welcomed.

The origin is old, but it wasn't bigger than I expected. The big tree of the kusunoki is a natural monument as a group of kusunoki at Isahaya Shrine.

    Amabie's ornaments are cute.

A big camphor tree stood out. Also, at this time, I was relaxed in the Amabie figurines. It is said to be a shrine that has been around since the Nara period. 5 I went before the time, so the shrine office was also cleaning up later. If you get a red stamp, please take a little time. There are glasses bridges and temples around, so I think you can take a walk for about 1 for about an hour and a half.

It is a venerable shrine built in 728. The name was changed to Isahaya Shrine due to the abolition of Buddhism in the Meiji era. From JR Isahaya Station, 5~6 minutes walk, the camphor tree, a natural monument designated by the prefecture in the precincts, is also a sight to see.
