Medina of Kairouan

Kerouvan has more than 100 tombs of Islamic saints, most famously a saint named Sidi Sahab, who is said to be a close friend of the Prophet Muhammad, and returned to Tunisia from the holy site Mecca in the 7th century, not only bringing back a large number of texts, Three beards of the very precious prophets were buried with the saints in Kairouan, known as the "beard tomb."

The old town of Kailuan is my favorite so far. Compared with the old town in other cities, it has become a big market. It is quiet and tidy, and the streets are wider. People need some distance, and walking in narrow streets often feels unsafe.

Kerouan, as the third largest holy city of Islam, is also in a very high position in Tunisia, so the local market in the old town is still quite lively, bustling, carpets, ceramic copper products are more, but also mostly have Islamic style. The Tunisians are very simple, basically there is nothing to open the price, and the price is still very good. Like to buy something.
