About 15 minutes walk from Minamata Station. Tokutomi Soho (real name: Ichiro) is a thinker from the Meiji to Showa. Tokutomi Roka (real name: Kenjiro) is Soho's younger brother and novelist. The Soho and Luhua brothers spent their childhood in this house (built in 1790). When I visited, the museum was closed due to the restoration of the pillars damaged by white ants.
