It is an old post town on Nakasendo, about a 10-minute walk from Nakatsugawa Station. It is an area where the old townscape is preserved and has a taste.

Nakasendo Nakatsugawa-juku is the 45th post town from Edo. I didn't expect much because it is not a popular post town like Tsumago and Magome-juku that still retain the atmosphere of the Edo period, but I visited. The atmosphere of the time was left in the buildings that remained here and there.

I didn't expect the atmosphere of Nakasendo in the old days in front of the station, but it was a good atmosphere, including the main store of Kurikinton no Suya and Kawakamiya, the sake yukan with Udatsu, and a candy shop.

中津川歴史資料館に行きました

中津川歴史資料館にいってみました。昔の和宮降嫁行列の様子などが詳しく説明されていました。また、昔の宿場町の風情が色濃く残っていました。

今は小さな宿場町

中津川駅近くの市街地、歩いて10分程度の場所です。古い街並みが残されていますが宿場町の雰囲気は少なめです。近くには杉原千畝氏ゆかりの場所があるとのことで訪れてみましたが、見るべきものは多くないですね。
